Nothing better than catching first tracks on your favorite local line. The Dream Catcher is Jones new women’s all-mountain board made for snagging those fresh fantasy turns. Featuring a directional freeride shape and a friendly flex, the Dream Catcher is stable, confidence inspiring, yet soft enough to be playful in any terrain. The Directional rocker profile and Spoon 1.0 base deliver epic float in the fluff while the camber underfoot and Mellow Magne-Traction offer awesome edge grip when conditions firm up. The edges of the Spoon nose are beveled up for improved turn fluidity while the tail edges are beveled up for less catch. The Dream Catcher also features an ECO-plastic topsheet for added ECO-performance.
Classic Core. Full wood premium slovenian poplar core that offers fun pop, even flex and solid durability.
Biax Fiberglass. A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.
ECO-Plastic Topsheet. Bio-plastic topsheet made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet)
Sintered 7000 Base. Durable natural base material with added carbon for speed and good wax absorbency.
Blunt Nose. “How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep, is dictated by it’s front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ‘snow plow’ rounded tip and it’s extra swing weight.” -Jeremy Jones
Mellow Magne-Traction. Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
“Magne-Traction is a critical feature for rockered boards. Rocker improves glide in mixed conditions, but the decreased edge contact makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Magne-Traction is crucial to offset the edge drift of rocker.” -Jeremy Jones
Progressive Sidecut. At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Oversized Recycled Edges. All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
Recycled ABS. ABS Plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. We improve the sustainability of our snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
Wend Natural Wax. Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
Flip Flop Base. By flip flopping the base graphic colors, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing material yeild.
Factory Tuned. All Jones Snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
Karakoram Ultra Clip. ULTRA clips are lower profile, stronger and increase compression between board halves.
Quick Tension Tail. Built-in climbing skin tension system using pre-cut notch that eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.
Stainless Steel Hardware. Stainless steel plates are embedded into the nose and tail for improved board tip durability.
The classic. Nothing is quite like the crispness, power and precision of camber at higher speeds. Ideal for aggressive riders and traditionalists.
The all-round performer. Far and away, this is our best-selling platform. Ultimate versatility comes from blending both rocker and camber traits to get a balance that offers both the stability of camber and the easy ride of rocker. Some boards in this category fall closer to a camber feel, while others ride a little looser like a rocker board. Find your balance and get a board here that does it all.
Flat from contact point to contact point for control and stability with a catch-free feel
Like waking up at noon on summer holiday. Rocker boards feature a reverse camber lay-up that is less-catchy, turns easier and sends the fun factor/high-five frequency into the stratosphere. These boards generally offer a more forgiving ride which is ideal for newer/casual riders, jibbing and easy style pow hounds alike.
Do it ALL. Wanna grab some pow turns up top, scream down a mid-mountain groomer and then hit the park at the bottom? THESE are your boards. Our best-selling configuration. Generally an all-mountain twin-tip, directional twin or minimal directional shape that’s poised to do it all.
Tech freestyle supremacy. These twin tip boards generally feature a slightly softer flex and shorter contact points which make for boards that are slightly more maneuverable but still have the landing gear you need to grease park laps day-in and day-out. If park laps and hit runs are your jam, then this is where you live. If that last sentence didn’t make sense, it’s best not to look here.
Parks are where I walk my dog, the mountain is where I snowboard. Pow/Freeride boards quite often offer a distinct directional shape, featuring a tapering shape designed to provide the smoothest ride out on the mountain—whether it’s first chair on a pow day or late afternoon when it’s all bombed out. With options that range from resort freeride, slackcountry through to backcountry, the pow/freeride category is your go-to for riders not looking to ride the park and capitalize on the rest of the mountain.
Narrower widths mean lightning fast edge transfers and less fatigue for riders that have smaller feet. Suggested for all women’s sizes and Men’s 8.5 and below. Look for waist widths that are below 25cms.
Regular widths offer only critical measurements that will kill toe-heel drag, but also maintain proper response to keep turns quick and agile while not tiring you out. Ideal for rider with US Men’s 9-11.5 feet. Look for board widths that are 25-25.5 cm wide, going wider as foot sizes get bigger.
Anyone with a size 12+ boot can tell you—toe/heel drag sucks. Kill the culprit with a wider waist board and get the freedom to turn as hard as you want. Riders with 12+ boot sizes will want to look at boards with waist width of an absolute minimum of 25.6cm and go up from there—going wider as foot sizes get bigger.
